Keno was created in two hundred BC by the Chinese army commander, Cheung Leung who used this game as a way to finance his failing army. The metropolis of Cheung was at war, and after some time seemed to be facing country wide shortage of food with the dramatic drop in supplies. Cheung Leung needed to create a rapid fix for the financial adversity and to create money for his military. He, as it follows created the game we know today as keno and it was a wonderful success.

Keno used to be known as the White Pigeon Game, seeing as the winning numbers were broadcast by pigeons from bigger municipalities to the lesser villages. The lottery ‘Keno’ was brought to the USA in the 1800s by Chinese migrants who came to the States to work. In those times, Keno was played with 120 numbers.

Today, Keno is generally bet on with 80 numbers in almost all of the US based casinos as well as internet casinos. Keno is mainly played today because of the laid back nature of playing the game and the basic fact that there are little skills needed to play Keno. Despite the fact that the chances of coming away with a win are terrible, there is always the hope that you will win quite big with little gaming investment.

Keno is enjoyed with 80 numbers and 20 numbers are picked each round. Gamblers of Keno can select from 2 to 10 numbers and bet on them, whatever amount they are able to. The pay out of Keno is dependent on the bets made and the roll out of matching numbers.

Keno has grown in popularity in the US since the end of the 1800’s when the Chinese letters were changed with more familiar, US numbers. Lotteries weren’t covered under the legalization of wagering in Nevada State in Nineteen Thirty One. The casinos renamed the ‘Chinese lotto’ to ‘horse race keno’ utilizing the concept that the numbers are horses and you want your horses to come in. When a law passed that taxed off track wagering, casinos quickly altered the name to ‘Keno’.

It may not often be considered the most lucrative game in the field of gambling, but keno has tons of keen followers. Why wouldn’t it? When defining keno to newcomers, some wagering pros compare it to lotto. This is at least in some measure correct, in that both games are basically numerical. But to carry that comparison too far is likely to be to miscalculate the innumerable unique traits that make keno so fun. Not like bingo, keno players have the freedom to pick the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is given an additional level of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as numerous (or as few) numbers as he wants. And it doesn’t take a doctor of keno to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your chosen numbers with a every day oldpen like you used when you were in school.

After you have picked your numbers, carry the card back to the keno pit manager at the keno stand. The person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Make sure no to drop this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your mug and wants help out, without a winning receipt with you, you will be given precisely $.00 for your time spent.

OK, so there you have strategy #1: always make sure to keep your keno slip. Let’s move to something a little bit more useful, what do you think?

After you’ve picked your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and watch the action take place on the big keno monitor. That is where the winning numbers are shown in lights. You need to get back to the keno booth to collect your winnings, and a new drawing will certainly get going within not too many minutes.

Strategy number two: always be sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

These include the same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to 20 tickets. When the max number of keno games (fitting the number of tickets) is played, you can then get off your lazy back side and go collect your winnings.

Another option is known as a "stray and play" keno card, which normally allows you make number selection for 30 games or more. Gosh, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to collect your winnings. Most "stray and play" cards are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!

For instance, you can purchase a ticket for 20 games and then go bet on another game in the casino or even your room if you’re staying in the casino.

The game is gambled on on a board. The Keno game board consists of eighty total numbers – numbered 1 though eighty. The top 40 are known as a the top half and the 2nd forty are known as the bottom half.

Playing Keno

Every game of Keno goes the same. The round starts, and 20 numbers are drawn. The casino might be utilizing the ball system. Ping pong like balls are blown up and selected, just like the lottery on TV. Some other casinos use computers. If a number you selected is chosen, that is known as a "hit." When all 20 numbers have been picked, the game ends and winning tickets are paid-out.

There is an abundance of choices in the game of Keno. For instance, you may choose a single number, 2 numbers and so forth-up to twenty numbers. Usually, you have to get most of your numbers to come away with anything. For example, if you choose 6 numbers, you will normally need to hit 3 to earn your cash back.

Keno Pay outs

The pay outs in Keno are fairly big. The chances of winning is based on the total numbers marked. For example, if you select two numbers, you have a six percent probability of hitting your ticket. Each casino’s Keno department has their very own payouts. If you are looking to play on the internet, be sure you look all over for the biggest payouts first.
